Jerald
This is Jerald, he doesn’t have ears, he can’t hear you. Jerald is one of my first excursions into 3D sculpting, mushing and pulling digital clay. I wanted to do something with the asset, so I made this silly little GIF using Keyshot and Premiere Pro.
Chroma Cubes
This was an experiment with the colour printing capabilities of the Stratasys J850 Poly-jet 3D Printer. Inspired by the colour-changing abilities of the Octopus and Chameleon, I wanted to use perspective change to alter colour. This was allowed by multi-coloured cubic nodes scattered throughout a volume and suspended in clear resin. The colours hiding, revealing and mixing depending on the angle of view and refraction. The digital model was made and rendered in Houdini. The model was procedurally created, then sliced into PNG’s to be voxel printed.
Bad Pixel
This was an experiment with a pixelated AI image generation script, a Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) accessed through Github. Bad Pixel is an 8-bit battle royale video game concept where villains are generated using simple word prompts that are added to additional background prompts, taking advantage of the GANs ability to produce unique imagery even if the word prompts are identical, aiding in its pick-up and replayability. Animated frame by frame in Premiere Pro.
2D
A small selection of some of my doodles throughout the years.
Barty
Barty is a character model created in Z Brush. His purpose was to showcase core skills and processes shown in a popular series of tutorial videos on Youtube.
